Sole Spike Fishing Review - Gary Borger

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="269" caption="Gary Borger and Me"]Gary Borger and Me[/caption] I have been a life long fisherman, but my interest in fly fishing started in the summer of 1983, the first time I felt a fly rod loaded with line. Something about that had me hooked. From that time forward I devoured all things fly fishing I could get my hands on. I had a weekend ritual that lasted for years of going to my local library to check out Gary Borger's Scientific Anglers series of fly fishing instructional videos. At a time when most of my friends idols were NBA or other sports stars, my idol was Gary Borger. I learned so much from those videos and I still reference them in my head when I am on the water. I have been following Gary's blogsince he first started it a couple of years ago. Through a series of fortunate events I was able to meet him at the Denver Fly Fishing show and give him some Sole Spikes™ to review. He was kind enough to put up with my sycophancy and agreed to give them a try. Gary has since published his review and a very positive opinion of Sole Spikes™.  Here is a quote I enjoyed:
"The answer is Goat Head Sole Spikes. Back in the old days, we all screwed pan head sheet metal screws into the bottom of our boots to convert them into spiked soles. Goat Head Sole Spikes take that idea to a whole new level." Gary Borger
Read the full review here. Thanks Gary!
